A “beacon of excellence and innovation in the homecare sector” has been nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year, sponsored by Macbeth.

The brainchild of founders Dariusz Motyka and Zul Mamon, Blue Angel Care  first opened its doors in Reading in 2017 and has since blossomed into a prosperous £5millon enterprise, said its nominator.

“Today, it boasts a team of 240 dedicated professionals spread across six locations, all committed to delivering compassionate and innovative care.” they said.

“Under the visionary leadership of Dariusz and Zul, Blue Angel Care has garnered numerous accolades,” they added.

They nominator added: “Their founders' dedication extends beyond their clients to their employees as well. By championing fair pay and inclusive recruitment practices, they have achieved an impressive staff retention rate of 88 per cent.

“Blue Angel Care's financial success, significant impact on the homecare sector, and unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of care make Dariusz and Zul truly deserving of recognition.”

The company was honoured at the prestigious Great British Care Awards (GBCA). The organisation also received 'Highly Commended' recognition at the WAGS Awards and was a finalist at the Berkshire Business Awards. The company's consistent commitment to quality service was recognised nationally when it was listed in the Top 20 Home Care Group by Homecare.co.uk in both 2022 and 2023.

Blue Angel Care's innovative streak is evident in their adoption of technology. In 2020, the organisation's efforts to streamline care plans and enhance training programs through digital means won them the Digital Transformation Award from Access Group.
