Our next nominee for Employee of the Year,  Craig Atkins, managing director of 1-Fix, certainly sets an example from the top on being a good employee.

1-Fix,  a business IT services company based in Winnersh, takes a proactive approach to promoting employee wellbeing. It implements a comprehensive wellbeing initiative that encompasses various aspects of health and happiness, including financial, social, mental, and physical wellbeing.

To support financial wellbeing, 1-Fix offers resources such as financial literacy workshops and access to financial advice, helping employees manage their finances and plan for the future.  It also  organises team-building activities and social events to foster a positive work environment and promote social well-being.

Craig’s nominator said: “Craig provides access to confidential counselling services and promotes mental health awareness through training and resources to support employees' mental wellbeing.

“We have flexible working arrangements and promote work-life balance, including a 9.5 day fortnight to get every other Friday afternoon off.

“In terms of physical wellbeing, 1-Fix provides opportunities for us as employees to participate in fitness programs, wellness challenges, and offers ergonomic assessments for a healthy work environment.

“Through this holistic approach to employee wellbeing, Craig and 1-Fix demonstrates a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace that prioritizes the health and wellbeing of all employees.”

They added: “Craig always goes above and beyond to truly care for his employees. He has green-lighted for an extensive well-being programme to be introduced and is always looking for new initiatives to improve this further.”
