Rob Hill

Rob Hill, a volunteer at Launchpad, has been nominated for the Volunteer of the Year Award, sponsored by A.B. Walker.

All local charities benefit from volunteer helpers in all aspects of their work. Pride of Reading award winning charity Launchpad always takes time to acknowledge the tremendous support they receive from their volunteers.

Rob joined Launchpad in 2013, volunteering initially to assist clients with IT skills, and now works at Launchpad’s drop-in service for anyone in Reading who needs housing or homelessness-related information and support.

His nominator wrote: “Through storms, snow and train strikes Rob has managed to get to the office to offer support to people at risk of homelessness. He is passionate about supporting Launchpad to support clients, always going above and beyond and often staying beyond his drop-in hours to ensure clients are seen.”
