Nominated for Charity of the Year sponsored by Roc Search

Fundraising members of the Whitley Community Development Association

A South Reading charity, Whitley Community Development Association, have been put forward for a Charity of the Year Award, sponsored by Roc Search.

Whitley CDA, established in 2013 to work with and for local people, is based in Northumberland Avenue, and provides advice and support to the local community.

It oversees many projects including Building Better Opportunities, the Whitley Museum and Joining the Dots, and produces a community magazine Whitley Way.

Their nominator said: “Whitley CDA are committed to providing support, care and generally bringing our community together. They offer us help with food and essentials, provide a warm and welcome environment for people to get the help they need and provide activities and fun days to bring us all together.”
