Jake Clothier, a reporter for Reading Today, has been nominated for The Chris Tarrant Award, sponsored by The Oracle shopping centre.
The award, judged each year by the TV presenter and long-time supporter of the Pride of Reading Awards, celebrates someone who lives or works in Reading who deserves special recognition.
The nominator said of Jake, who has worked at Reading Today for 18 months: “They have been incredibly supportive of the Reading queer scene, working tirelessly to cover events in our town and are generally just a super lovely person who really deserves recognition for what they do for Reading.
“They are documenting this town's history with true journalistic integrity.”
