A neighborhood Italian deli and wine shop has been nominated for the Hospitality Award.
Mama's Way in Duke Street, Reading sells Italian food and wines from all over Italy, drawing on inspiration from their owners' Italian grandparents.
Their nominator put them forward for the award “because of the quality of their products and the great value they bring to the community”.
As well as Italian fare, the deli offers home catering and wine tastings.
The Hospitality Award is sponsored by REDA, Reading's Economic and Destination Agency. The award, new this year, is inspired by and in memory of journalist, food writer and Pride of Reading Awards organiser Hilary Scott.
It recognises excellence in the hospitality industry, either an individual or business that has shown resilience, outstanding dedication to their customers and a strong commitment to Reading.
