Claire Revvie set up the surplus food project Share Wokingham during the pandemic, salvaging food that would be thrown away, but is still great quality, and sharing it with those in need.
Her nominator for Volunteer of the Year said the projected combatted food waste and food poverty. “She has since worked tirelessly in a voluntary capacity to establish the project, growing it to 10 sites, feeding 2,500 people across Wokingham and Berkshire every week,” they added.
“It also saved 1,000 tonnes in food waste since launching in 2020.”
