John Lewis Reading have shown an outstanding commitment to supporting the adoption and trauma support charity Parents and Children Together (PACT) and its flagship community support project Alana House, not only through financial support.
Its nominator for Business in Action over 50 employees added: “They have generously given us use of their store to showcase and sell the recipe books and arts prints the women from Alana House have created and to highlight the life-changing charitable work we do in Reading and the south-east.
“They have also donated household goods to support women from Alana House who are moving in to new accommodation and shown real care and interest in how we help children, women and families move forward from trauma and abuse.
“A special 'shout out' goes to Helen and Shelley who have acted as exemplary community champions.” The award is sponsored by Boyes Turner.
