A trained antenatal and postnatal practitioner has been nominated for Community Champion by a grateful mum.
Chris Duret, who runs Birth & Beyond, provides baby massage, pregnancy and postnatal yoga and hypnobirthing.
Her nominator put Chris forward for the award sponsored by Reading Football Club because of “all the work she does with postpartum mums in Reading, her sense of humour, her advice, and I always felt so welcome at the baby groups and the yoga class.
“ I was amazed at the free activities available and the advice and welcome I got from Chris, especially about breastfeeding. She is great and would be a worthy winner!“
Chris, a mum of two, offers advice for pregnant women to learn how their bodies will work in labour and a support network where parents can learn new skills, bond with their baby and find support.
