The chairman of Burghfield residents association, Dave Godwin, has been praised for his hard work in organising the community's May Fayre despite fighting a serious health condition.
“He still managed to run/organise the May Fayre which is our main fundraising events of the year,” said his nominator for Community Champion, sponsored by Reading Football Club.
“Although the event is only one weekend of the year, it takes months of planning and hard work. Dave has continued to put others first and is a true community inspirational person.” they added.
