Debor Baldree and Cisco
Fundraiser of the Year sponsored by Cherubs Floral Design
An individual or organisation that has shown outstanding skills or dedication to creative and imaginative fundraising in Reading.
Reading Kindness Rocks and digital technology company Cisco were jointly given the award after members of the Cisco team took 200 stones decorated by the community group to Spain on a fundraiser for a breast screening machine for the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Debor Baldree, who runs Reading Kindness Rocks, was joined by Georges Lalahy from Cisco, to collect the award.
Debor has “greatly enhanced” the philanthropic efforts of the global firm with a base in Reading. Her group, which spreads positivity and aims to inspire creativity, decorated the stones which were placed by Cisco staff in memory of loved ones along the Camino de Santiago pilgrim trail.
Tech company Cisco supports various local charities, including Sue Ryder and the hospital.
